Looking back on my beginnings as a photographer, I have really come to realize how little I knew before this course. Looking back on the first few assignments, especially “Daily Life” and the shutter speed and aperture assignments, I finally understand how inexperienced I once was. Before learning how to shoot in manual mode, my photos were dull, and lacked creativity. But as I learned how to shoot manually, my photographs began to come to life, using colour and contrast in a creative way, alongside using a different angle in order to give a different perspective on ordinary things.

When it came down to painting with light, It can clearly be seen in my photographs the enthusiasm I had behind the camera. I absolutely adored working at night, and I felt that I had accomplished something by creating such beautiful pieces. Overall, my enthusiasm for photography ha not dulled down one bit. At the beginning of this course, I was overly excited about learning how to change the aperture. Reaching the end of this course, I am still enthused and excited at the prospect of many years to come in which I will be able to use these new skills to create beautiful works of art.
